I'm happy to rise today to speak on the topic of supporting resource jobs in this province. Here are the results of the Premier's so-called jobs plan for northern and more rural areas of B.C. The number of people on welfare in the north has increased 10.7 percent, compared to a year ago — 2½ times the provincial average.
