Well, the fact is there are absolutely no long-lasting jobs associated with the Enbridge pipeline, and that's why the First Nations of the north are unanimously opposed to this project. Experts in the shipping and pipeline sectors say, "You move oil; you'll spill oil," and this Enbridge project will spill oil.

There's an incredible phenomenon happening in the northwest right now, a positive story that I'm sure the members would like to hear about. There's a type of salmon in the Skeena River returning at unheard-of levels. Almost every fish that left the Hazeltons is coming back.

Doug Supporting Social Workers and Community Social Services

I rise in support of this motion recognizing social workers and those working in the community social service sector. I believe we owe the people in these organizations a debt of gratitude. I'd like to actually just give a bit of context about the reality in which people working for these organizations work in, in northern communities, in rural communities and remote and, oftentimes, aboriginal communities.
